Subject: The corner desk in 2.14
Dear Marta, Thank you for offering me the corner desk. I would like to take it, but there is one thing I should say first. The desk stands beside the shared printer, and whoever sits there ends up doing the work the printer creates: clearing jams, refilling the tray, and explaining to visitors why nothing has come out. Priya had that desk for two terms and reckoned it cost her an hour a week. So I would be glad to move if the printer goes to the alcove by the door, which has a socket already and is closer to the corridor in any case. If that cannot be arranged, I would rather stay where I am and let somebody who prints more than I do have the space. Best wishes, Tomas
