THE REPAIR TABLE - SECOND SUNDAY OF EVERY MONTH
Bring something broken and sit with one of us while we try to mend it. Two to five in the small hall. We are good at lamps, kettles, headphones, zips and bicycles. We are not allowed to touch anything with a gas connection, and we will not open a phone or a laptop that is still under warranty, because doing so ends the warranty. You stay with your own item. This is not a drop-off service, and the point is that you leave knowing how it was done. Parts are charged at what we paid for them. Our time is free, and so is the verdict that something is beyond saving, which is roughly one visit in five.
