Read in Daily Life

Read a message from a teaching assistant.

Tomorrow's tutorial is in Ashfield 106, not in our usual room. The change is not mine and I found out at the same time you did. Ashfield 106 is locked between sessions and the key lives with the porters, so somebody has to collect it. I have a lab that finishes ten minutes before we start on the other side of campus, which makes me the worst candidate. If one of you can get there by ten past, ask at the lodge and give my name. Bring the second half of the reading only. We did not get through the first half last week and I would rather finish that properly than cover both badly. If you have already read ahead, nothing is wasted; we will need it in week nine anyway.
23. Why does the writer ask a student to fetch the key?
