Darkroom 2 is booked in blocks of ninety minutes through the studio office. Bookings open on the Monday of each week and close at four on the Friday before use; nothing can be arranged at the door. Bring your own paper. The department supplies developer and fixer and does not supply paper, and the machine in the corridor takes coins only. Used fixer goes into the marked drum, never into the sink. The drum is collected on the first working day of the month, and a darkroom left with a full drum is closed until it has been emptied, which has happened twice this year. The safelight is checked each term. If a print fogs before you have developed it, report it and stop work; do not compensate by shortening the exposure.
