The cleaner comes on Thursday mornings and will not wash anything that has been left out. Anything still on the drainer at nine goes into the blue box under the sink, clean or not. The oven has been repaired. It now takes about fifteen minutes to reach temperature rather than forty, so the old habit of turning it on and going away no longer makes sense. Bins go out on Sunday night, and it is genuinely whoever is in that does it, not whoever is on a rota, because we tried a rota twice. The window above the hob has to be shut when it rains.
