Read a notice pinned beside the door of the workshop tool store.
TOOL STORE - TAKING THINGS OUT AND BRINGING THEM BACK
Hand tools go out for one day at a time. A power tool goes out only with a sheet signed by a technician, and only for the afternoon.
Write your name and the hour in the ledger when you take something, and cross your line out when you bring it back. Leaving a tool on the counter and walking off is not a return; the loan stays open until the line is crossed out.
If something breaks while you are using it, say so at the desk. There is no charge for a breakage you report, and there is a charge for one we discover on the next loan.
The store shuts at four, an hour before the workshop itself, so that the shelves can be checked.
