The subscription goes from eight pounds to twelve in October. I would rather explain that than have people guess. Eight pounds covered the room hire and nothing else. Everything we actually did last year - the two coaches, the printing, the speaker in February - came out of a reserve that was built up before any of us joined, and that reserve is now three hundred pounds and falling. Twelve pounds covers the room hire and about half of one coach trip. It does not restore the reserve. If we want two trips a year we will have to raise money as well, which is a separate conversation for the November meeting. Anyone who has already paid eight pounds for this year pays nothing further. The new rate applies to renewals only.
