INSTRUMENT LOANS - HOW THE STORE WORKS
Loans run from the start of term to the last teaching day. Nothing is renewed by email; bring the instrument to the counter and we will reissue it there. A loan covers the instrument and the case. Strings, reeds and rosin are consumable and are not covered, and the machine in the practice corridor sells all three. Report damage on the day you notice it. A crack reported the day it appears is repaired at our expense; the same crack found at the end of the year is charged to the borrower, because by then nobody can say when it happened. Instruments may not leave the country. Two went abroad last summer, the insurance did not follow them, and the rule is now printed on the form you sign.
22. Why is late-reported damage charged to the borrower?
