That is earlier than it needs to be, and the reason is the single-track section after the reservoir: after about eight you meet farm traffic and lose forty minutes to passing places. I am not asking for petrol money. What I would like is for somebody else to be awake, because the road back is the difficult part and I have twice found myself at the turning with no memory of the previous ten miles. One condition. If you say you are coming and then do not, I will wait five minutes and go, and I will not offer twice.
