From Monday the parcel room opens 8-10 in the morning and 5-7 in the evening, and is closed in between. The change is not a reduction. The room was open all day and staffed by whoever happened to be at the desk, which meant that at busy moments nobody was there at all. Two fixed windows with someone in the room throughout will get more parcels handed over, not fewer. Parcels are kept for ten days. After that they go back to the courier, and getting one returned to us again takes about a fortnight, so a parcel you cannot collect is better redirected to a neighbour than left to sit. We cannot hold parcels beyond ten days for any reason, including being away on fieldwork. Please arrange for someone else to collect.
