IELTS Listening practice
Four recordings with 40 questions — forms, notes, multiple choice, matching and maps — answered while you listen, like the computer-delivered test. Each practice is a complete Listening section in the official order. Press start and we give you a section you haven't done yet, chosen at random.
Untimed: take the time you need. Timed: one clock for the whole section, like test day — when it runs out, your answers are checked.
What's in an IELTS Listening section
- Part 1 (10 questions): a conversation in an everyday situation – usually a form or notes to complete.
- Part 2 (10 questions): one speaker on a practical topic – multiple choice, matching or a map.
- Part 3 (10 questions): a discussion in an academic setting, with up to four speakers.
- Part 4 (10 questions): a university-style lecture – usually notes to complete.
- Each recording plays once. On computer you have 2 minutes at the end to check your answers.
